Chela and Chiquita have been a couple for a long time, but over the years they have ossified in their roles within the relationship. While the extroverted Chiquita organizes their life together, Chela prefers to spend her days behind her easel in dim light. The couple's financial situation is not rosy, forcing them to sell off parts of their inherited furniture - even if they are memorabilia. When Chiquita is sent to jail for being overindebted, Chela is suddenly on her own. She comes up with the idea of using her old Mercedes to offer a cab service to wealthy elderly ladies from the neighborhood. While chauffeuring, she meets the young, fun-loving Angy and is fascinated by her. The encounter lures Chela out of her passivity and lets her rediscover her own desires...
